SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- Tens of thousands of Golden State Valkyries fans lined the SF Embarcadero on Wednesday to celebrate the team's historic WNBA championship, in just the franchise's second year. All up and down the city's waterfront, people were enjoying themselves.

Perhaps no one more than Valkyries point-guard, Kaitlyn Chen.

The 24-year-old Princeton grad is a former Academic All-American and 2023 Ivy League Player of the Year. A 2025, third-round draft pick, Chen was waived by the Valks in May, 2025 before resigning with the team the following month.

She averaged 7.2 points-per-game this season, 1.1 rebounds per game, and 1.9 assists per game this season.

She also apparently, knows how to party.

At one point during Wednesday's parade, social media video caught the 5-foot-9 guard taking a fan's beer and shot gunning it -- after opening it with her teeth.

Chen sprayed the adoring fans with Tecate in the process, high-fived the fan that gave her the beer, and then disappeared back into the throng of photographers, celebrating players and dignitaries along the parade route.

The viral video has been shared 478 times, received 18,000 likes and generated over 170 positive comments.

In another photo from the Associated Press, Chen is seen spraying fans along the parade route with a bottle of champagne.

Like the caption on the social media post says, "Kaitlyn Chen don't ever change."
